For the last many years of being a devout spokeswoman for the importance of full female pleasure, thus becoming an instructor for women and men on tracking the elusive creature called 'female orgasm', I have come to the conclusion that the function of female ecstasy is several-fold. And more to the point, its full reclamation and honoring is as necessary as clean renewable energy and the reinvention of community. Without it, I promise you, we will never achieve world peace.

The other night while my younger son, Simon, and I were driving home, excited about the prospect of watching The Matrix (a long-awaited experience for him) a fox jumped out in front of our car. I had never, in all my 44 years, hit an animal yet the experience felt eerily familiar; a flash of golden fur caught in the bright headlights and a heart-breaking 'thud'.

This is from a dear friend of mine, a brother-in-arms, who is experiencing what some would call a Kundalini Awakening, what others might call Re-Wilding...May it serve as an invitation as well as just simply stir us all up!

Re-Wilding is the journey of remembering who we are and where we come from, as if our lives depended on it. That may seem dramatic yet at this point, given the ailing condition of many of the Earth's systems due to human mis-use (abuse), our lives truly do depend upon us discovering a new way of living with ourselves, each other and the wild world around us. In western culture we have slowly evolved into a creature who sees itself as separate from the natural world. Our creation stories have evolved to support this belief system - no matter what monotheistic God you worship, He doesn't live on earth...he lives out there somewhere, beyond the physical realm.

Tonight, as the last moments of the miraculous journey that was 2009 slip away, I give thanks to all the courageous, powerful and beautiful individuals and couples with whom it has been my honor to work throughout this past year, including: - the young couple, just 30 and 31, who are insisting on a deeper way of belonging to each other and the world, whose devotion to service has them literally standing on the front lines of battle zones gathering intimate stories and taking breathtaking photographs of families and individuals in an effort to educate the world on the catastrophe that is war.

Those of you who have heard me speak or worked with me as a guide likely have heard me say that modern marriage is catastrophic to the authentic (wild) masculine and feminine.

James Hillman states "there are more wars in recorded history than there are years in recorded history." Modern man is a warring creature. But perhaps it has not always been this way.

For a woman, finding a lover who is generous and often as a result, informed about the anatomy of female pleasure, is the golden, frosting-on-the-cake goal of her search; the piece de resistance. And yet, there can be pitfalls or outright dangers for a man who focuses almost exclusively on his partner's pleasure. It can easily contribute to the alienation of the full emotional repertoire of his masculinity.

For many years now I have been cultivating a practice of using extended orgasm as an enhanced state of consciousness within which it is possible to deeply imagine myself in the reality of another being; a deer, a tree, a snake, a cold mountain stream, a young girl in the forest, accompanied by rich sensory experiences like smell, sound, taste and touch. With this practice has come a heightened intensity of compassion and unconditional love for everything and everyone around me.

As is known to anyone who is familiar with my couple's work, I work in the couple's home in the capacity of sacred witness to the dance of their love making. This is profound work. Typically, it is the woman who brings me into their home. She has heard of me or found me on the web and she has approached her partner with the desire to hire me. Usually, her partner is skeptical. Yet, without fail, it is the man who, just moments into our first session, turns to me and demands, "why isn't this available all the time, for everyone?!"
